A Walk to the Park

One day Mommy and I decided to take a walk to one of the near parks. Naturally when I hear the word park I get so excited! We started our journey out the door and onto the walkway. As we went further and further up the hill I got a little anxious, because we were passing by the big wooden park that I play at all the time. I started to fret, but Mommy was there to soothe me and ease my suffering by telling me not to worry cause we were still going to the park. My spirits turned high and we began our jouney once more. Soon we passed the fountain and veered to the right road and down a hill. This time I could tell where we were going! The duck pond where we feed the birds! I was so happy to find that Mommy had packed some bread to throw to the hungry ducks! Even the fish were hungry. After the ducks were all feed we walked accross the street to the playground. This playground is a little different than the ones I am use to because it has a piano, climbing walls, and other things I am not use to playing with. When it started to mist down rain Mommy decided that we should head home. I however, was not ready to leave. I made a fuss, but then Mommy made it a game to play in the puddles and reach out to catch the mist! That was fun. We enjoyed the walk, stopping to look at strange flowers and even pick a daisy looking one. We got back to the top of the hill by the fountain and took pictures by the eagle statue. That was nice and I was very happy! I love going on walks with Mommy!
